Who Is Russ Peak?
At the age of 8, Russ Peak was given his first magic set as a Christmas gift from his Dad. Over the next few months, he practiced and practiced and was soon performing comedy and magic tricks for his friends, neighbors, and anyone who would watch. After high school, Russ paid his way through college by performing his shows at schools, churches, and local companies. On campus, his studies of psychology and learning development led him to his interest in suggestion, neuro linguistic programming and hypnosis. Fun psychological feats that looked like mind reading or psychic phenomenon were introduced into his act and became his trademark skill as a magician as he traded in sleight of hand for sleight of mind.
Master Stage Hypnotist
1n 1995, after perfoming his popular Mind Reading Comedy act, Russ had the opportunity to witness his first stage hypnosis show. Like most folks, the first time they see a live hypnosis demonstration - Russ couldn't believe what he saw! He immediately began further study into the world of hypnosis and picked up the book The Encylopedia of Stage Hypnosis, by Ormin McGill. Six months later, that same hypnotist he saw on stage called Russ to invite him to join him 'on the road', perfoming as the opener to the hypnosis show. Over the next few years Russ was mentored first-hand in the mysterious world of hypnosis and he researched, prepared, and finally performed his own hypnosis stage show. He still performs his Mind Reading as part of his keynote presentations.
Board Certified Hypnotherapist, C.Ht
In addition to his University Degree in Education, Russ pursued his passion for hypnosis and earned his certification as a clinical hypnotherapist in 2001 from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. Although he works with a limited number of clients as a hypnotherapist and life coach, he focuses the majority of his time in the place where he thrives as a hypnotist: On stage - speaking, entertaining and performing Comedy Stage Hypnosis Shows.
Russ never stopped his study of hypnosis and is founder and co-owner of Invent Publishing, which designs, manufactures, and sells over 20 top self-help hypnosis audio titles which are available on this site and online music stores world wide.
